Est. 2025 · Independent Certification Authority
Founded in 2025, the Vibecoders Institute serves as an independent body for evaluating professional practice in AI-assisted software development. The Institute defines assessment criteria, maintains their revision cycle, and administers certification based on documented practitioner behavior.
The Institute provides a structured framework for evaluating how practitioners direct, constrain, and verify automated code-generation systems in real development workflows. Its mandate is limited to assessment and criteria maintenance; it does not provide training or instruction.
Certification is based on observable practitioner behavior, evaluated through unedited interaction logs or continuous screen recordings. Assessors review task structuring, intent preservation, constraint management, and verification practices. Tool-specific proficiency is not part of the evaluation.
The Institute maintains its assessment criteria as a versioned set of guidelines, reviewed annually and updated as needed. Certifications are issued under the current revision and administered by the Office of the Registrar.
The Institute is currently supported by two Acting Co-Chairs of the Examination Board: Sergei Alekseev and Dmitriy Khvatov. Their role is explicitly interim and focused on establishing baseline evaluation practices, calibrating reviewer standards, and overseeing the initial revision cycle. Permanent appointments will be made once the first full assessment cohort is complete.
